Mission:
Accelerate AI and data‑driven energy optimisation across Europe’s industrial ecosystems.
Goal:
Integrate your innovative data‑ and AI‑based solution into COSMIC AI‑driven platforms at 15 large‑scale pilots – contributing to the Green Deal objectives and a more sustainable energy future.
Operational details:
Individual award: up to 150.000 € (lump sum) + 10 months support programme
Up to 20 projects will be selected
Eligibility: Individual SMEs or startups registered in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries
Large-scale pilots across Belgium, Finland, France, Ireland, Spain and Portugal across eight innovation areas:
Residential energy efficiency
Industrial energy efficiency
Building performance
Smart resource management
Circular economy
Sustainable maritime transport
Optimised renewable energy
Inclusive energy transition

Methodology:
COSMIC will select SMEs and startups (third-parties) to develop, test, and validate their AI‑based services and solutions for energy optimisation, via COSMIC pilots and AI‑driven platforms (Core Technical Facilitators, CTFs). Selected proposals must address one Challenge per proposal. Full descriptions is available in the Guide for Applicants and Technical Guidelines on the online application platform.
